Using Ontime
We'll hold your due payment in your Ontime account until the day it's due—and then we'll send it. You don't need to lift a finger.
Your employer may have a portal where you can make the change yourself. Or you may need to email your employer's HR, Payroll or Finance team to do this.
No. There are a couple of reasons to keep your Direct Debit mandate in place:
- Until we've received your wages into your account and made a payment for you, you will continue to pay your provider by Direct Debit
- Your Direct Debit mandate will stop you from missing a payment if you leave your employer.
It's possible that you leave your employer and don't set up Ontime with your new employer. In this case, you won't miss a payment to your provider if you have your Direct Debit Mandate in place
The most common reason is that your pay wasn't enough to cover your provider payment. You might have earned less than usual or you may have left your job. It might be because you have changed your bank details with your employer so that you're no longer paid into your Ontime account.

Not yet. Right now you can only pay the bills of partners who have introduced you to us. In future, you'll be able to manage more of your bills through Ontime. We'll keep you posted!
